Roger Horace  Hovey
Roger Hovey, 83, passed away on Feb. 17, 2015 at Wolcott Hall Nursing Home where he was a resident since 2010.

Born in Montpelier, VT on August 12, 1931, he was the son of Willie and Christine (Boulya) Hovey.

Roger married Lucy (Sears) in 1950 who passed away 3 years ago. He leaves behind 3 sons; Wendell of Danbury, Robert of Torrington and Michael and his girlfriend Karen of Morris, CT, 2 daughters June Reichert of Torrington and Lauriann McBurney and her husband Glen of Morris, 6 grandsons; Michael Reichert, Justin Hovey, Lance Corporal Douglas Jacquemin and his wife Chellsee, Kyle Hovey, Dylan Hovey and Zachary Hovey, 4 great-grandchildren; Kaiden and Sophie Hovey, Brayden Jacquemin, and Angel St. Germain, 3 step-grandchildren Leanna, Nico and Corina Marques and 2 step great-grandchildren, Serenity and Tyler. He also leaves a brother, Lawrence of Skowhegan, ME, brother- in- law Henry Laundry and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 2 children Walter and Nancy.

He moved to Ct in 1964 where he was a farmer for over 30 yrs. He loved to drive his tractor all over the town of Morris and was well known as the "road hog". He loved animals and always had a dog. His last dog was Sandy. While living at Wolcott Hall he loved to do arts and crafts and his favorite was playing BINGO.

A memorial service will be held on Sun March 1, 2015 at 2 PM at the Morris Volunteer Fire Department, 16 South Street, Morris.
