Obituary for Matthew Woodruff Clark
Matthew Woodruff Clark passed away at the age of 57 on Saturday, September 27th, in Key West surrounded by his family. He was the son of Bernard Woodruff Clark and Elsa Hinchman Clark. He graduated from Litchfield High School in 1975.
Matthew loved to play the guitar, watch the Atlanta Braves no matter how well they played, refurbish old things into works of art and he loved the company of his family. He spent the last nine years of his life as a resident of his much loved Key West, Florida.
Matthew is survived by his mother, Elsa, brother and wife, Richard and Marla Clark, sister and husband, Leslie and Marc Moore, sister and husband, Jessica and Greg Kelmelis, nieces Jennifer Gray, Saige Kelmelis, Lillian Kelmelis, and nephews Nathan Moore and Samuel Kelmelis.
A date for a memorial gathering for next spring will be announced. Memorial contributions may be made to Little Guild of St. Francis, 285 Sharon Goshen Turnpike, West Cornwall, CT 06796 in honor of his baseball buddy, Amy; or Key West National Wildlife Refuge, 179 Key Deer Blvd., Big Pine Key, FL 33043-0510 in honor of his longtime friend Alec.
