Obituary for Robert M. Poulin

Robert M.  Poulin
BANTAM – Robert M. Poulin, 80, passed away on August 30, 2014 in Hartford, Conn.

Born in Auburn, Maine, on December 6, 1933, he was the son of the late Lucien and Marie (Bernier) Poulin. He grew up and attended schools in the Auburn area and continued his education at the University of Maine at Orono. Robert was predeceased by his wife of forty years, Irene T. (Gastonguay) Poulin.

A United States Army veteran, Bob was stationed in Wurzburg, Germany and was honorably discharged in May of 1955. He was a proud member of the American Legion Post 44

Bob is survived by his children, John A. Poulin and wife, Lori; Diane L. (Poulin) Boswell and husband, James; Daniel L. Poulin and wife, Colleen; and Paul R. Poulin and wife, Denise; and his seven grandchildren: James W. Boswell III, Spencer J. Poulin, Nicholas R. Poulin, Katherine R. Boswell, Emily R. Poulin, Libby M. Poulin and Shamus J. Poulin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, at Our Lady of Grace Church, 715 Bantam Road, Bantam. Burial with military honors will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
