Obituary for Christine Champagne

Christine Champagne, 45, from Winsted, CT passed away peacefully on May 25, 2016.

Christine was born on June 13, 1970 in Danbury, CT to Denis Champagne and the late Renette (Courturier) Champagne of Middlebury, CT.
Christine fought a life long battle with Cerebral Palsy. Christine will be missed and loved by the excellent staff and extended family at Community Residence at Spencer Hill in Winsted, CT and Ann's Nursery in Norfolk, CT. The staff at Spencer Hill was able to share a little bit of Christine’s personality, she was comical and loving. She loved all types of music and was mesmerized by bright vibrant colors. Christine’s giggle and laugh was infectious. Christine continued her mission in life to leave behind her legacy and memories for her family to carry forward.
“Children with disabilities are like butterflies with a broken wing. They are as beautiful as all the rest, but need a little help spreading their wings.”

Christine is survived by two brothers Bryan Champagne and his wife Terise Champagne, nephew Alexavier Champagne, and nieces Angel and Kristena Champagne of Rocky Hill, CT and Kevin Champagne of Middlebury, CT, nephews Zachary and Nathan Champagne. Chrsitine is also survived by a large family in Connecticut, Quebec and New Brunswick Canada.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 6pm to 8pm at Rowe Funeral Home 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield. A private funeral service and burial will take place in Canada at the convenience of the family.
