Obituary for Alice L. Stoddard

Alice (Perkins) Stoddard, wife of Jay Stoddard, died September 14, 2018 at fifty nine years old. Alice was born in Bantam on Cathole Rd. to the late Joe and Anna (Brazee) Perkins. She dedicated her entire life to helping and taking care of others.

Over the years, Alice enjoyed cooking and preserving and various crafts. She loved to go camping and especially loved to be surrounded by her family. She loved nature, bird watching and identification and taking walks through the woods. She liked to sing along to the radio while she was driving. She was a fierce defender of her children, even threatening a marine once. She was full of a mothers’ unconditional love for her family and she was thoughtful and intuitive when it came to matters of the heart. She suffered many emotional hardships throughout her life, especially when she was younger, but despite that her love for her children and husband remained steadfast.

In addition to her husband Jay, Alice will be greatly missed by her three children; Jeremy (Tara) Stoddard, Amanda (Jason) Toloski and Kaleb (Erica) Stoddard, and her three grandchildren; Abigail and Elizabeth Toloski and Ian Stoddard. She is also survived by her siblings; Joeann Urrutia, Margaret (James) LaFountain, Penny (Leslie) Severy, Wendy (William) Bezemek and Kathleen Doyle and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Joey Perkins.

A Memorial will be held at the Morris Town Hall on Saturday September 22 from 12pm-4pm.
