Dr. Mickey J. Wyse
Devoted Husband, Father, and Doctor

Litchfield – Dr. Mickey J. Wyse, 56, died suddenly on July 9, 2018. He was the loving husband of 27 years to Cathleen (Strobel) Wyse.

Mickey was born on September 29, 1961 in Elkhart, Indiana to L. Arnold Wyse and Wilda (Mickey) Wyse.

Mickey was a devoted husband, father, and doctor. He loved the outdoors, especially hiking, camping, golfing, hunting and skiing. Mickey was passionate about learning and enjoyed fixing things and helping people. He was always playful and loved to make people laugh and smile. He enjoyed travelling, woodworking, and learning to play the guitar.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mickey is survived by son, Jacob and his wife, Julie, and son, Josh; two brothers, Lonce (Ruslana) and Todd (Suzy); step-siblings, Julie (Duane) and Gayle (Greg); his stepmother, Myrna; step-siblings, Jeanine (Scott) and Evan and eight nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Mary Jane Strobel, Sr.; his brother-in-law, George, Jr., who recently predeceased him (Elaine); brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, William Sr. (Debra), Susan Crowe (Bill), Richard (Lori) and Stephen, and twelve nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 49, South Street, Litchfield. Burial is private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Foundation Emergency Department Renovation Fund, 56 Franklin Street, Waterbury, CT 06706 and the Litchfield Land Trust, P.O. Box 712, Litchfield, CT 06759.
