Morris – Susan (Coe) Anderson, 91, of Morris, passed away peacefully at Brandywine Living of Litchfield on Tuesday, November 28, 2017. She was married to the late Theodore “Ted” Judd Anderson for 49 years who was the love of her life. Susan was born in Torrington on December 22, 1925 the daughter of the late Albert Douglas Coe and Grace (Kilbourn) Coe.

She was raised on the Coe Homestead in Lakeside, spending summers at Camp Washington. She was an amazing athlete, a celebrated basketball forward at James Morris School as well as being an outdoor enthusiast. She loved swimming, skiing, snowmobiling and golf. She was a member of the Watertown Country Club for over 40 years along with being a Connecticut Women’s State Golf Champion. She loved the Town of Morris and volunteered for many activities. Her home was graciously opened to all.

She is survived by three daughters; Katherine Sillari and her husband Anthony, Karen Loomis and her husband Scott and Kandace Tingley and her husband Hal, seven grandchildren; Kate Baldwin, and her husband Michael, Kelly White and her husband Brian, Amy Stiles and her husband Dylan, Caroline Sillari, Andrew Theodore Sillari, Susan Tingley and Jane Tingley, four great grandchildren; Thomas Baldwin, Jackson Stiles, Abigail Baldwin and Elliot White along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband she was predeceased by three siblings Douglas Chandler Coe, Sarah Coe and Frederick Coe.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 10:00am at Morris Congregational Church, 9 East Street, Morris, CT 06763. There will be no calling hours and burial will be private.
