OBUTUARY NOTICE FOR: DONATIEN M’SADOQUES
(Proper Canadian Birth Name: Joseph Télésphore Donatien Msadoques)

Boynton Beach FL Donatien M’Sadoques, 96, formally of Morris, Connecticut died Wednesday afternoon at his temporary VA Foster Home of Boca Raton, Florida.

Don was born on March 19, 1921 on the Indian reservation of Odanak, Province of Quebec. His Canadian birth record shows that he was the “legitimate son of Arthur Msadoques of the Abénakis and Emrentienne Salois of this mission” (Mission Saint-Francois de Sales, Odanak,Yamaska County, P.Que, Canada). The birth notice continues that his Godfather was Télésphore Salois and his Godmother was Sophie Joyal. Early life was on the Odanak Reservation where he graduated high school first in his class in 1937. Don emigrated to Waterbury Connecticut where he was employed as a welder at Rolling Mills, Don was drafted and served in the Navy along with his twin brother, Lucien. They were both Seabees (C,B. or Construction Battalion) and severed in the Pacific during WWII. On returning home, he married Jeannine Cardinal on December 29, 1947 of which she preceded him in death. Don was a buffer for, and retired from, Benrus Watch Company. Don remarried to Esther Josephine Quinlan on April 19, 1963 in a civil ceremony and blessed by Our Lady of Grace church on April 19, 1975. In retirement they moved from their home of Morris, Connecticut to Boynton Beach, Florida,

He is survived by son, Serge M’Sadoques and spouse Barbara Bush of Huntsville, Alabama; Grandchildren
Carl M’Sadoques and wife Bethany of Alpharetta, GA; Eric M’Sadoques of Fresno, CA; Joseph Bush and wife Jessica of Metairie, LA; Jessica Adams and husband Kyle; and great-grandchildren Jazmyn, Joey, & Zoe, two brothers; George M’Sadoques and Aldor M’Sadoquesa and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by seven siblings; Paul M’Sadoques, Elaine Gamlin, Lucien M’Sadoques, Raymond M’Sadoques, Irene Hannis, Sylvio M’Sadoques and Ann M’Sadoques.

Arrangements: A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, 10/23/2017at111:00 am at Our Lady of Grace Church, Bantam. Burial in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday afternoon from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Rd., Litchfield.
