Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother

Harwinton - Janet (Bauer) Dlugokinski, 75, passed away on December 17, 2017 at 4:11pm at Hartford Hospital. She was the wife of Deacon José Luis Dlugokinski. She was born on February 1, 1942 in Torrington, Connecticut, daughter of the late Conrad J. and Edna (Smith) Bauer. Janet graduated from Torrington High School (Class of 1959) and Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse in local hospitals and nursing homes until her retirement in 2015.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, José, three sons; Jonathan D. Bauer, Jeffrey L. Dlugokinski both of Harwinton, CT and James L. Dlugokinski and his spouse Jim Fazzio of Glastonbury, CT, three daughters; Judith D. Savoy and her husband Jeffery, Jennifer Dell’Agnese and her husband Michael all of Torrington, CT and Joann Bauer of Burlington, CT, 12 grandchildren and one great grandson, two sisters; Virginia Mosel and Marilyn Smedick and her husband Daniel and one brother Thomas Bauer and his wife Eileen. She was predeceased by two brothers; Conrad J. Bauer, Jr. and Robert Bauer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 10:00am at Immaculate Heart of Mary, 78 Litchfield Road, Harwinton, CT 06791. Entombment will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
