Clifford H. Pont

Litchfield – Clifford H. Pont, 98, passed away on March 2, 2018 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington. He was the beloved husband of the late Florence (Naser) Pont. He was born on March 9, 1919 in Torrington, Connecticut to the late Harold and Alice (Fredsall) Pont.

Clifford was a Litchfield Scout leader and a longtime member of the First Congregational Church in Litchfield and enjoyed woodworking. He worked his career as a machinist, retiring at age 65 from Tech Systems in Thomaston.

Clifford is survived by a son Leigh Pont and his wife Gayleen of Litchfield, a daughter Laurie Hall and her husband David of Harwinton and three granddaughters; Allison and Courtney Hall and Alissa Quinion and her husband, Gregory.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 10th at 11:00 am at First Congregational Church of Litchfield, 21 Torrington Road, Litchfield, CT 06759. Burial will be private. There will be no calling hours.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a local food pantry.
